“That day, the students came into my classroom seemingly exhausted and slightly stressed out. I spent some time urging them to focus on the day’s activities, but it was apparent that they needed a break to reset. I offered them an opportunity to practice yoga for 20 minutes and they jumped at the opportunity. After 5 minutes of breathing activities and 10 minutes of sun salutations and forward folds, we rested in savasana for 5 minutes. With their eyes closed and their hearts pumping from the exertion of the practice, they slowly felt themselves relax and reset. We went back to the classroom and were able to have a productive and focused class 🙂
